{"id":204,"date":"2019-07-10T18:15:32","date_gmt":"2019-07-10T16:15:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/?p=204"},"modified":"2024-05-17T13:00:55","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T11:00:55","slug":"smgroup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/en\/smgroup\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Scrum Master Group (TSMG)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Team Scrum Master Group with the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/clustersm\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Cluster Scrum Master (CSM)<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> has responsibility at the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/rclusterlevel\/\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Cluster<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u00a0and <\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">System level<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> for the\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/infrastructureprocesses\/\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">product development process, the infrastructure and the cultural aspects<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Together with the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/cluster-scrum-master\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Cluster Scrum Master (CSM)<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , the Team Scrum Master Group has the following tasks:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Creating and optimizing the team setup as a value stream so that the individuals and teams can work as smoothly as possible and with as few dependencies as possible.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Creation of the <\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">organizational change roadmap<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , derived from the company vision, in coordination with the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/pogroup\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Team Product Owner Group<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> and the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/smgroup\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Team System Engineer Group<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Impediment Management<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> : Acceptance of team impediments by the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/scrummaster\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Team Scrum Masters (TSM)<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> and the surrounding organization ( <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/stakeholder\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">stakeholders<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> ). <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">These become Improvement Backlog Itemss (IBIs)<\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Acceptance of Improvement Backlog Itemss from the teams<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Analysis &amp; refinement of IBIs<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Assess the benefits and effort. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Then prioritize IBIs<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Processing of the IBIs by the TSMG or by individual TSMs or their teams<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Escalation of impediments to the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/csmgroup\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Cluster Scrum Master Group<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> (or management in traditionally operating organizations<\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Information &amp; Reporting: Presentation of progress towards the Cluster Scrum Master Group and update of the plans<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Process release management<\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Documentation of the agile work process within the Cluster (teams, workflows and interfaces, <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/definition-of-ready\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">DoR<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/clusterdod\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">DoD<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> )<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Merging with existing processes (Integrated Process Management System)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Update and release of the process definitions for the cluster<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Support of the teams in the implementation of the processes<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Participation in the definition and maintenance of the organizational processes (within the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/csmgroup\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Cluster Scrum Master Group<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> )<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To work effectively, the group should maintain its own <a href=\"https:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/improvement-backlog\/\">Improvement Backlog<\/a>, conduct regular Syncs for coordination, as well as regular Retrospectives on its own working methods and processes.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">an agile transition that often begins in a Cluster of the Organization, the TSMG plans and controls the transition project. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">She is accompanied by P4 consultants and P4 coaches, who mostly come from external consulting organizations. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This group is sometimes called the Agile Transition Team (ATT). <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Links to other organizations that have introduced the P4 framework can be established for exchange and learning through the &#8220;P4 Network&#8221;
