{"id":282,"date":"2019-07-20T15:23:27","date_gmt":"2019-07-20T13:23:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/?p=282"},"modified":"2024-05-17T12:59:01","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T10:59:01","slug":"csmgroup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/en\/csmgroup\/","title":{"rendered":"Cluster Scrum Master Group (CSMG)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Cluster Scrum Master Group, consists of the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/clusterSM\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Cluster Scrum Masters<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> of<\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/rclusterlevel\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Clusters<\/span><\/span><\/a> and <span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/organisationsm\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Organization Scrum Master (OSM)<\/span><\/span><\/a> The group<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u00a0is responsible for the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/infrastructureprocesses\/\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">processes, infrastructure and the cultural<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> side of<\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> the product development process at the <\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">organizational level<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The CSMG maintains the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/portfolioimprovementbacklog\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Organization Improvement Backlog<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> to plan and implement improvement projects <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The role of the <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/organisationsm\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Organization Scrum Master (OSM)<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> forms the highest management <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">role <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">in the company.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">T<\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">he Cluster Scrum Master Group has the following tasks:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Creation of the <\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">organizational change roadmap<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , derived from the company vision, in coordination with the Cluster Product Owner Group (CPOG) and the Cluster System Engineer Group<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Impediment management<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> : acceptance of the cluster&#8217;s impediments by the CSMs and the surrounding organization (stakeholders). <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">These become Improvement Backlog Itemss (IBIs)<\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Acceptance of Improvement Backlog Itemss (escalation by CSMs)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Analysis &amp; refinement of IBIs<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Assess the benefits and effort. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Then prioritize IBIs<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Processing of the IBIs by the CSMG \/ OEG or by individual CSMs, SMs or their teams<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Decision on process and organizational measures regarding the impediments of the Clusters<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Process release management<\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Documentation of the agile work process within the Organization (clusters, workflows and interfaces, <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/definition-of-ready\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">DoR<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/portfoliodod\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">DoDs<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> )<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Merging with the existing processes of the Organization<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Update and release of the process definitions for the Organization<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Support of the Clusters with the implementation of the processes<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To work effectively, the group should maintain its own <a href=\"https:\/\/p4dev.hardscrum.com\/improvement-backlog\/\">Improvement Backlog<\/a>, conduct regular Syncs for coordination, as well as regular Retrospectives on its own working methods and processes.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The CSMG plans and controls the transition project in an agile transition of the entire Organization.
