The managers of areas that are not included in the P4 Dev Framework are assigned to the group of Stakeholders . The managers of other areas come from infrastructure areas such as IT, HR, accounting and facility / site management. The Stakeholders of the Supplier, Supply chain and Production area are described here , the Stakeholders of the Users, Customers and Sales area are described here.

The P4-Dev framework is mainly concerned with product development. The topics of the following are included:

  • Product strategy & product management
  • Research, technology and pre-development, as well as application and product development
  • Product maintenance 
  • Design, engineering, simulation, prototype production, …
  • Verification, validation and approval
  • Project management for product development
  • Product development processes

Management roles from other areas

The area of ​​operations is dealt with in the sister framework P4-Ops. The topics of the purchasing, production, quality assurance and sales departments are mapped here. The Infrastructure Services, such as accounting (controlling), human resources, IT and building services (site management) are Service Teams on the Organization Level.

Process and organizational stakeholders are invited to the Cluster Reviews, Portfolio Reviews, the Cluster Retrospective or Organization Retrospective  in order to provide feedback and to work on the organizational structure and processes together with the Scrum Masters.

The P4 Network as an Organizational Excellence Network

The P4N is a network of organizations using the P4 Framework, as well as consultants and coaches who are committed to the introduction of agile structures in accordance with the P4 Framework, the support of teams and the development of the framework. The P4N thus forms the bridge and the exchange platform between various organizations, companies and service providers.
